PE/PA Film & Vacuum Pouches

Metalized layer (MET) is usually used to protect products from UV light and improve the barrier properties of a coated film. These polymers are used as components of multilayer materials for the MAP or vacuum packaging due to high barrier properties.

The functional laminate films are specially designed for thermoforming applications such as hard trays, flexible vacuum or soft MAP packages and they are ideally suited for fresh fruit and vegetables.

Generally, the thickness and basic weight of films useful for vacuum packaging were greater due to the technological requirements for packaging materials as the resistance to mechanical damage, shrinking ability, resistance to oxygen permeability.

The flexible PA/PE medium barrier films are suitable for classic applications such as thermoforming. Each layer performs an important function: The PA layer is the crucial factor for the mechanical strength of the packaging. Working as a barrier layer, it seals in the aroma and prevents the penetration of oxygen, thereby extending the shelf life of your product. The PE layer on the inside of the packaging functions as a sealing medium and is decisive for providing airtight seams and a proper skin sealing. It serves as a moisture barrier and, although it protects your product from drying out, it also prevents the uncontrolled absorption of moisture. The tie layer between the PA and PE layers has the task of reliably tying them together so as to prevent delamination, even at high or varying temperatures.

And PA/PE medium barrier multilayer bag films have been specially developed for bag production.  The films’ high stiffness values increase the output in the bag production and thus offer an impressive economic advantage.

This type of films is characterized with a set of the following features:

  • they constitute an effective barrier against gases, steam and UV rays
  • they are highly resistant to mechanical damage (puncture and crushing)
  • they are transparent and glossy
  • they may be easily thermally formed
  • they can be perfectly heat-sealed
  • they are puncture resistant
  • they are thermally resistant

They are also available with an EVOH barrier layer. They may be delivered along with the following systems:

  • Easy peel
  • Reclosable
  • Antifog

PE/PA Vacuum Pouches can be used to package fresh and processed meats, cheese, seafood and other perishable products. These vacuum packaging pouches extend the shelf life of food products, forming an airtight seal, and protecting against moisture and bacteria. Used as part of a vacuum packaging system, these pouches keep food fresh and will also prevent freezer burn. Vacuum packaging with vacuum pouches also provide a clean, uniform, and professional appearance.
